Abstract Guidelines:

  • Abstracts to be considered for oral or poster presentations must be submitted by March 16, 2026.
  • Abstract length is limited to 300 word count limit, not including title, author list, affiliations, references, or acknowledgements.
  • Be sure to include all authors in the author list, including the submitting author, any co-authors, and Principal Investigator/Lab Head.
  • All submissions will print exactly as submitted.
  • We are aware that there are often more excellent oral presentations than slots available. In order to ensure the breadth of science that has been a hallmark of this meeting, we note that generally only one oral presentation will be allowed from any given laboratory.
  • A number of abstracts that are especially strong matches for the themes of the oral presentation sessions will be selected by the organizing committee for oral presentations. As you submit your abstract, you will be able to indicate whether you would like your abstract to be considered for such an oral presentation.
  • Posters will have a central role in communicating detailed scientific and technical results at Coherence 2026. The agenda provides extensive opportunities for interactions at and near the posters. We thus invite and emphasize contributed poster presentations.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English with a quality of spelling and grammar suitable for publication.
  • Abstracts constituting sales pitches for products or services will not be considered.
  • The number of presentations per registration may be limited due to number of total entries.

Review Procedures:

  • All submissions for oral and poster presentations are reviewed by the conference program committee.
  • Notifications regarding requests for oral and poster presentations will be made by conference program committee.
  • Notifications will be made by email to the presenting author.

All program and logistical questions should be directed to Conference Management at conferences@union.wisc.edu or (608) 262-6696.
