The Pyle Center<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Pyle Center is located on the UW-Madison campus on the shore of Lake Mendota within easy walking distance from the center of Madison. The conference main sessions will be in the Alumni Lounge conference room overlooking the water. Additionally, there are many nearby restaurants, cafes, and museums (including the UW\u2019s Memorial Union Terrace pictured below) for the participants and guests of the Workshop to enjoy. The Pyle Center is located at 702 Langdon Street.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Commitment to Sustainability<\/span><\/p>\n

UW Conferences & Events, as well as the Wisconsin Union, strive to promote green conferences and events and ask our conference guests to help us in those efforts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our Greener Meeting Initiatives Include:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2022 Providing compostable utensils, plates, cups, and serving platters
<\/span>\u2022 <\/span>Using biodegradable name badge holders and providing a recycling bin at conference headquarters
\u2022 Offering recycling bins at all meal locations and on every floor of the meeting venue
\u2022 Utilizing online mailings and digital communication to promote conference events
\u2022 Donating surplus food to a local food bank
\u2022 Using reusable conference signage to guide attendees throughout the event
\u2022 Providing online registration and electronic registration materials
\u2022 Sharing conference programs as PDF email attachments and through event apps
\u2022 Encouraging attendees to bring their own water bottles and use available refill stations<\/p>\n

Wireless Internet access is available to all conference participants.\u00a0 Locate WiFi networks on your device and select UWNet WiFi. The Pyle Center is located on the UW-Madison campus on the shore of Lake Mendota within easy walking distance from the center of Madison. The Pyle Center features the Alumni Lounge conference room overlooking the water with a capacity of 280 people that is ideally suited for the single-session style of the meeting. Lunches and coffee breaks at the meeting center, an onsite banquet, and cocktail hour during poster session will offer a collegial and collaborative atmosphere throughout the meeting. Additionally, there are many nearby restaurants, cafes, and museums (including the UW\u2019s Memorial Union Terrace pictured below) for the participants and guests of the Workshop to enjoy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
