Hello MMPC attendees,
To confirmed speakers and poster presenters at the Midwest Microbial Pathogenesis Conference, I am writing, in consultation with the meeting co-chairs JD Sauer and Mark Mandel, to let you know that I am serving as the Editor for a special series in Infection and Immunity (IAI) focusing on this meeting.
Speakers and poster presenters at MMPC would have the opportunity to submit original research or a Minireview to IAI related to their meeting presentations. These papers would be part of a special series in IAI. All submissions go through the same rigorous review process that is typical of papers in IAI.
I am proposing a submission deadline of January 13, 2023 (revised deadline). Papers would go through the normal submission and review process (access submission site here). My average days‐to‐first‐decision (i.e., when you submit until when I send the first decision letter) is 24 days. So, I would make sure submissions would move along quickly.
