The Asheville Regional Airport (AVL)<\/a> has consistently ranked as one of the fastest-growing airports in the country, and based on passenger utilization, became the third busiest airport in North Carolina in 2022, which was also the airport\u2019s record year with approximately 1.8 million annual passengers. New routes and route expansions have been announced, with 26 non-stop airport destinations available, many of which are international hubs making connectivity to the world easy to and from AVL.\u00a0<\/span>Most major airlines, including Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue, Sun Country, and United fly to and from this location.<\/span>\u00a0

AIRPORT FAST FACTS<\/strong>\u00a0\u25ba AVL is located just 12 miles from downtown, offers frequent nonstop flights daily to and from 26 destinations, including numerous international hubs, and is served by six airlines: Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue, Sun Country, and United.\u00a0\u25ba TSA Pre\u2713\u00ae is available at AVL.<\/p>\r\n

NONSTOP DESTINATIONS\/CONNECTIONS\u00a0<\/strong>\u25ba Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago (O’Hare and Midway), Dallas\/Ft. Worth, Denver (spring through fall), Destin (summer through October), Ft. Lauderdale, Houston (Hobby), Key West, Las Vegas, Miami (summer), Minneapolis\/St. Paul, Newark, New York City (LaGuardia), Orlando\/Sanford, Phoenix,\u00a0Philadelphia, Punta Gorda, Sarasota, St. Pete-Clearwater, Washington, D.C. (National), and West Palm Beach.<\/p>\r\n

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport<\/span><\/a> (GSP) is located at 2000 GSP Dr, Greer, SC 29651. It is the second busiest airport in South Carolina. It is about an hour and fifteen minutes away from Asheville.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n

The Charlotte<\/a><\/span> Douglas International Airport is a short 125 miles from Asheville. You can drive or take a bus from the airport. Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is ranked among the world\u2019s busiest airports, with an average of 1,400 arrivals and departures and 118,000 people traveling to, from and through CLT each day, according to Airports Council International. CLT offers nonstop air service to 179 destinations around the globe and is home to eight major air carriers, 15 regional carriers and three foreign flag carriers.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

McGhee Tyson Airpor<\/a>t (TYS) is located just 12 miles south of downtown Knoxville and is the premier air facility in East Tennessee. Knoxville<\/span> is a short 1 hour and 47 minute drive. Airlines at TYS are Allegiant, American, Delta, Frontier, and United.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n
