- Detailed step-by-step guidelines for registration and submission can be found here.
- No Paper – No proceedings – No podium policy applies.
- One unique registration for each paper submitted.
Abstract Submission Guideline:
- Authors are invited to submit a 250 word abstract conveying a summary of approach and key results, highlighting original research, development, or application of composite materials.
- Abstract submission portal will open on 1st Jan 2026.
- Abstracts are to be submitted using the button above which will take you to the Springer Meteor portal for submission.
- Abstracts will be entered directly on the portal. There is no template.
- Abstracts will set up the paper title and author order. The paper title and author order cannot be changed after the abstract is submitted.
Paper Submission Guideline:
- Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a full conference paper.
- Paper File Formatting (PDF & Sources Required):
The papers are to be submitted for review and after revision in both PDF and source formats. Use Microsoft Word “.docm” (document with macros format) or all files to compile the source in LaTeX format (in a zip file). The Microsoft Word template uses macros. Please enable them while writing your paper and submit the source files in .docm format, and not in .doc or .docx format, which removes the formatting macros. When submitting LaTeX files, be sure to include all required style and image files to compile the LaTeX document. Therefore, all submissions must consist of a PDF and a source file (Microsoft Word (.docm or LaTeX) in a compressed ZIP (.zip) file.
- The templates can be downloaded from:
Word: https://resource-cms.springernature.com/springer-cms/rest/v1/content/19338734/data
LaTeX: https://resource-cms.springernature.com/springer-cms/rest/v1/content/19338728/data
- Paper File naming: Please name your files beginning with a short title (30 characters or less) of the paper. For example, if your paper is entitled, “Carbon Fiber Composite Yacht Sails,” your submissions will be: CarbonFiberCompositeYacht_rev0.pdf; CarbonFiberCompositeYacht_rev0.docm (or .zip for LaTeX); and subsequent revisions can be named CarbonFiberCompositeYacht_final.pdf, CarbonFiberCompositeYacht_final.docm,
- Paper Page Limit: We have a maximum limit of 20 pages.
- Plagiarism Check: ASC reserves the right to reject or request revisions for papers that have substantial verbatim reproduction of language or graphics from published works. When reproducing graphics from other sources, indicate, if necessary, that permissions were obtained and explicitly stated in the paper before reproduction for this publication. All papers will undergo plagiarism checks, and the authors agree to submit revised documents promptly in response to the reviewers’ comments.
- Copyright Assignment Required: Springer Nature offers two copyright forms – one for private individuals and the other for US government employees. Government copyright will apply if any of the authors are employees of the US government.
- Example forms can be downloaded from: https://media.springernature.com/full/springer-cms/rest/v1/content/20355714/data/v1
- Suppose one or more co-authors are government employees. The US Government’s applicable Copyright form must be selected for the paper. An example copyright form can be obtained by emailing the editor (kpochira@stevens.edu).

- Acceptance of the paper, one registration for each paper to the conference, and a presentation of the paper are necessary for the paper to be published in the refereed proceedings of the ASC Technical Conference.
