Abstracts

The Abstract Submission Site is Closed for the 2022 Conference.

Registration must be completed prior to beginning an abstract submission. The link to the abstract submission site is in your registration confirmation email.

The author indicated as the presenter will receive an email confirming the receipt of the abstract. Please notify your co-authors that the confirmation was received.

You will need the following information to begin your submission:

  • Contact information for the presenting author and the principal investigator
  • Names and affiliations for all authors

Abstract Guidelines

  • Abstracts must be received by 11:59 pm Central Time on Monday, August 1, 2022 (consideration for Oral Presentation) or Thursday, September 1, 2022 (consideration for Poster Presentation only)
  • Maximum length of 250 words
  • One abstract is allowed per registration
  • Submissions will print exactly as submitted. 
  • One abstract will be allowed per registration
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English with a quality of spelling and grammar suitable for publication
  • Proposals constituting sales pitches for products or services will not be considered

Review Procedures

  • All submissions are reviewed by the Scientific Organizing Committee
  • Notifications on oral presentations will be made by Friday, August 19
  • Notifications will be made by email to the presenting author
  • Any oral presentations not chosen for an oral presentation will receive a poster presentation

Poster Presentations

Poster board dimensions: 4’ high x 4′ wide*. Pushpins to facilitate display will be provided for your use.

Poster presenters are responsible for printing their own poster. If you need to print a poster on-site, the following locations offer printing services:
FedEx – 654 W. Washington Ave (0.9 miles from Memorial Union)
StudentPrint -333 East Campus Mall (0.3 miles from Memorial Union)

Any presenter needing to ship a poster prior to the conference will need to contact Conference Management to confirm when poster will arrive to ensure that poster is delivered properly and is on-site.

Oral Presentations

Presentation Logistics

  • Presenters should load talks in the Wisconsin Union Theater prior to the beginning of the session.
  • Final presentations should be saved to a USB drive that the theater staff will upload on to the presentation computer. **We ask out the respect for the presenters in your session and all conference participants that speakers do not use personal computers for presentations as this delays the overall session.
  • Ensure all images and videos are embedded into your presentation to prevent corrupted files.
  • Talk lengths will be confirmed and emailed to all oral presenters with their acceptance letters.
