Paper Formatting & Templates

Adherence to the official conference formatting is required for all submissions. We provide templates in two formats to assist you:

  • Microsoft Word: Please find the template at this link.
  • LaTeX: The official LaTeX template is available on Overleaf at this link.

Key Formatting Reminders:

  • Final File Format: All papers should be submitted as a PDF.
  • Length: We recommend a length of approximately 8 pages, though there are no strict minimums or maximums.
  • Units: The International System of Units (SI) is required.
  • Accessibility: All papers must meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines to be included in the conference proceedings housed in the MINDS@UW repository. Papers must include the following:
    • Appropriate section headings
    • Figures and images with alt text
    • Plots with adequate color contrast (excluding gradient plots and figures with paired data tables)
    • Tables with proper headers and without merged cells
