DIVERSITY REGISTRATION WAIVERS

We recognize the importance of creating an inclusive and supportive environment, particularly for historically marginalized trainees and early career researchers. Thanks to support from our sponsors, we are providing a limited number of registration cost offsets for conference registrants who qualify based on theĀ NIH and NSF description of underrepresented groups in biomedical research and historically marginalized groups such as members of the LGBTQ+ community, and first generation college students. Priority will be given to trainees and early-career researchers, but any conference registrant is eligible to apply.

CAREGIVER GRANTS

We are pleased to provide a limited number of caregiver grants to help attendees of the 2024 Molecular Genetics of Bacteria and Phages Conference toward dependent-care expenses that they will incur by attending the conference. Thanks to generous support from our sponsors, we are piloting a program to offset extra costs incurred by caregivers (such as parents or individuals providing elder care). Any conference registrant is eligible, although priority will be given to early- to mid- career researchers and those submitting abstracts.

Applications may be submitted at any time, but note that those submitted by June 14, 2024 will receive a decision by June 21, 2024.
